Thanksgiving

We had a nice Thanksgiving this year. We spent it with my parents, Bob’s dad and sisters and Randy, Camille and Marina Churchill. It was really nice! Here are the pictures:

New Moon

My sisters and I went to see New Moon on Monday.

Oh yeah, we let my husband go too, although I think he got annoyed by our excited screaming and me constantly talking about how hot Jacob Black is :)

We all loved the movie, totally better than the first one and they stayed really true to the book. I was on Team Jacob before, but now I’m even more so. I was even starting to get annoyed by Edward during the movie!

Belle

I finished one of Isabelle’s dresses for Disney World today! This is Belle’s peasant dress, I love how it turned out and it was fun to make too. Isn’t she adorable? :)

Caleb’s toe

1114091338a

We had another visit to urgent care this weekend. Caleb was playing with his cousin Emma on Saturday, she ran into the closet to hide and he blocked the door so she couldn’t get out. Emma got angry and shoved the door open, but Caleb’s toe got caught under the door and split it open. I couldn’t get the bleeding to stop and it looked pretty deep, so I threw a sock on his other foot and ran out the door to urgent care, leaving Isabelle with Christina.

At urgent care we found out that he had sliced his toe pretty good and had a cut from the tip of his toe to about halfway under his toenail. Since the area he cut was too thin to do stitches, they used dermabond to glue his toe back together.

Poor Caleb, he cried the whole way there and most of the time we were waiting just cried quietly with his head buried in my shoulder. He started to cheer up when the doctor was gluing him back together, he started laughing and said that it tickled (I’m sure that was more fun than stitches!). Afterwards he got a blue otter pop and a sticker for being so brave and even got to stop at Jack in the Box on the way home. An hour later he was running around the house like nothing had ever happened. Since then he has only complained when I changed his bandaid.

He had me tell Grandpa that he wants him to take all the doors off of his closet so his toes won’t get smashed anymore :)

WDW Marathon

Dad and my brother Mike have decided to run the Walt Disney World Marathon in January. It just happens to fall during out big family trip, so everyone will be there to cheer them on! I’m really excited for them. I designed t-shirts and we’ve ordered one for everyone in the family to wear at the marathon to show our support for them. Here is what the t-shirt design looks like:

One thing after another

Poor Isabelle has has one medical issue after another lately, luckily nothing too serious, but still no fun for our little girl. A few weeks ago both her and I had thrush.  About a week later she had a really bad diaper rash that required oral antibiotics. A few days after that, both kids got H1N1 (luckily, not too severe, they’re mostly over it now). Then yesterday Isabelle started getting a rash all over her body. Its identical to the one Caleb had when he had an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin he was taking for an ear infection. His rash showed up a week after he started the antibiotic, her rash showed up a week after she started her antibiotics.  So I’m assuming that its the same thing, although if it gets worse or doesn’t go away I’ll take her in to see the doctor.

Here is a picture of her spots. Poor girl can’t get a break!

Caleb’s first moments. I love that he kept grabbing his face and crying as if to say “noooo, put me back!”
